About the studio 01

A small studio for clear communication.

Colibri Humm LLC is an independent information design practice founded in 2026. We work with teams who need to explain complex material clearly: reports, decks, guidelines and internal documents.
We are deliberately small. A limited number of projects at a time lets us stay close to the content and take responsibility for the result, from structure to the final layout.

Clarity over decoration

If a visual element does not help understanding, we remove it. Beauty that obscures meaning is not design.

Structure before style

Hierarchy, logic and reading order come first. Color and typography serve the structure, not the other way around.

Systems over one-offs

We leave behind templates and rules your team can reuse, so the next deck stays consistent without us.

How it works 02

A clear path from brief to delivery.

Every project follows four stages. You see the structure before the design, so there are no surprises at the end.

01

Brief and content audit

We review your existing materials, clarify the goal and audience, and identify what needs structure, simplification or visual treatment.

02

Structure and wireframes

We build the logical flow: sections, hierarchy, reading order. You see the skeleton before any design work begins.

03

Visual design and layout

Typography, color, diagrams and templates come in. We design for clarity first, aesthetics second.

04

Delivery and handoff

You receive final files plus reusable templates and guidelines so your team can maintain consistency going forward.

BRIEF STRUCTURE DESIGN HANDOFF
Why choose us 03

Built for teams who value clarity and systems.

We are a small studio with a narrow focus. That means close work, transparent process and templates you can actually reuse.

Focus on clarity

We remove noise and emphasize what matters. Every element earns its place.

Structured approach

Logic and hierarchy come before style. We build systems, not just slides.

Reusable templates

You get tools to keep creating consistent materials long after our work is done.

Small team, close work

Limited project capacity means we stay hands-on with your content from start to finish.

Transparent process

You see structure before design, drafts before finals. No surprises at delivery.

Document expertise

Reports, guidelines, decks — we specialize in making complex documents readable.

Frequently asked 07

Questions we often get.

A small studio with a narrow focus means some things come up in almost every project. Here are the answers we give most often — if yours is not here, just write to us.

Information design is the practice of organizing complex content so it becomes easier to read, understand and act on. In our work that means clear hierarchy, sensible structure, diagrams and templates for slides, reports, guidelines and internal documents.

We focus on logic first, style second — the visual treatment always serves the meaning.

Both. Most projects start from material you already have: a draft deck, a Word report, a set of internal documents. We restructure, simplify and redesign it.

If you are still writing, we can start with the structure and wireframes so your team writes into a clear skeleton — then we design around that.

For a small studio like ours, timelines are compact and honest. A presentation system or a 20–30 page report typically takes 2 to 4 weeks. A template set or visual guidelines is closer to 1 to 2 weeks.

Exact timing depends on how ready your content is and how fast we can align on structure. We always share a realistic plan before any design starts.

We deliver in the formats your team actually uses. That usually means Figma, PowerPoint or Google Slides for presentations, InDesign or Word for long reports and guidelines, and PDF for distribution.

Source files, templates and a short usage guide are always included so you can keep updating materials in-house.

We only do the design and the files. Printing, paper selection and production are outside our scope — and we say that up front so expectations stay clear.

If you need print-ready files, we prepare them with correct bleeds, color profiles and marks so any printing partner can take it from there.

Yes. Many of our projects involve internal strategy decks, financial reports or confidential guidelines. We are happy to sign your NDA or use a mutual one before we see any content.

As a small team, files stay within the studio and are not outsourced or shared.

A reusable template system is a set of master slides, layouts and components (title slides, section dividers, chart styles, tables, text blocks) that your team can apply to new decks without a designer.

We build it once, hand it over with a short guideline, and from then on your presentations stay visually consistent no matter who creates them.

Send us a short note by email with what you have (a draft, an outline, or just a goal) and when you need it. We will reply within one working day with a few questions and a suggested way forward.

From there we schedule a short call, agree on scope and start with the structure stage — so you always see the skeleton before any design happens.
